I suppose the fact that leaving this city is so hard, is a wonderful thing. It means I made great friends, had many awesome experiences and learned lots of important things. It must mean that I grew a bit as a person, which is what the internship was all about, and I was able to do that without any negetive experiences. It means that I have a new home away from home, that I can feel comfortable coming back to it in the future . . . but all of these positive things do not make leaving any easier.
It was a rocky start to my internship; I really did not enjoy it at first and certain things about it frustrated me right until today . . . I had fallen in love with Montreal from the start. But as I spent time with the Foundation, I was stimulated by new things, was influenced by new (or new to me) ideas and learned from more than one mentor. . . . yes, I had reservations about the way somethings were done, but I learned to recognize (as I should have all along) that such hesitations raise from personal ignorance or inexperience. There were many lessons like that.
I did not expect to come to a brand new city - a big city, as a small town girl - and fit in so easily. I didn't think leaving would be this hard, but I did not expect to have made so many wonderful friends. I have had a hard time figuring out just how I should be expressing my gratitude. I find myself telling people how much I loved their city, but I realize that not everyone takes a compliment on their home as a compliment about themselves (as I do - as far as I am concerned, you say, 'I like PEI' and I think 'they like me!').
Anyhow, I guess the long and the short of it is, as much as I completely cannot wait to see all of you, I really hope that you all have as difficult a time leaving / finishing your internships as I am.
Love love you all

Anddddd. . . Okay - I kinda wrote that yesterday in anticipation of what I would be able to write today! WHOOHOO! I actually got a little hurt towards the end of the game, and was pulled, which is really hard to take, but probably for the best. My Irish rugby team won semi-finals which means two things; A. We are the bomb - we so rock. Let me give you a little history of the Irish. Last year there was only one womens team and they won the first division championships, which means they moved up into premiership, or the superleague. Thisyear, they realized that we had enough women for two teams, so they made a second division team. Both teams were not expected to do very well in Quebec, because they were both brand new to their divisions - but, both teams finished first in their divisions and both teams won convincing semi-finals. The Irish rock!!
The other amazing thing this means is, although I go home tomorrow, I will be back next Monday . . .

my team is paying for me to come back . . . its likebeing paid for rugby! Super cool.
Just because I'm so excited and proud I incuded a very sexy picture - me helping push a maul - don't I look constapated? It's actually very bad positioning on my part, and I know I could have found a better picture, but this one works just fine (the play was called down after the ball would not come out and there was a scrum called, and we marched (pushed) the scrum into their tryzone, to score a try. It was the first scrum try we scored this year, and it was vs. a team with some fantastic front rows).
Anyhow, so thats exctiting. . . flying home tomorrow!
Love you all
